We do not have a minimum GPA requirement, but we have a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Deimos-One recruits at the top universities and colleges across the country, without restricting ourselves to a specific roster of institutions. Instead, the most successful candidates for our advanced Intern Program and entry-level positions typically have substantial involvement in hands-on extracurricular projects and strong academic performance. Our technical interns often come from backgrounds rich in student-led engineering groups in school, where the focus spans design, building, testing, and/or coding. For those targeting non-technical internships, we look for equivalent hand-on project experience within their field of expertise.

Yes. Most of the interns in our program are advanced upperclassman and graduate students. Students enrolled in engineering graduate programs are eligible for associate engineer positions.

Internship opportunities at Deimos-One are paid, and, subject to your university’s policies, may also be used to fulfill academic credit requirements. Given the nature of our work, which often encompasses proprietary, sensitive, or ITAR-controlled projects, interns are precluded from creating presentations, papers, or reports detailing their Deimos-One projects. If necessary, however, we are more than willing to verify your employment to your academic institution or instructor and will provide a brief description of the experiential scope provided by an internship at Deimos-One.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about ITAR here.

Deimos-One is unable to provide employment sponsorship to students on F-1 visa status. To learn more about ITAR regulations click here.

In addition to your contact information, we encourage all applicants to include the following on their resume:

  • University name, degree and major(s), cumulative GPA, and graduation date
  • A record of all previous internships, co-ops, or jobs
  • Details of relevant project team involvement and role/position/contribution on the team

Due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unable to personally respond to each applicant to our Intern Program. Should your application align with our criteria, you will be directly contacted by a recruiter if you are selected for an interview. Please keep in mind that the recruitment phase for any given internship posting may extend up to six months, so we appreciate your patience as we complete the review process.

Yes. Due to the large volume of applications and limited internship opportunities available, we highly encourage everyone interested in our program to continue to re-apply. To maximize your visibility and strengthen your profile, we recommend applying for multiple terms and locations.

Individuals selected for an interview at Deimos-One will participate in several technical phone screenings. The specific group you interview with might also request that you undertake a quiz, project, or programming assessment. Our best advice is to come prepared to tell us about your most significant technical accomplishments, the challenges you faced, and the obstacles you overcame. Also, how did you specifically solve hard problems, push forward the innovation, and advance the project? Be prepared to discuss your unique contributions to the projects you have worked on. Additionally, being familiar with Deimos-One’s mission and its relevance to your skillset and goals is also important.
